His loyalty never ceases to amaze me. Indeed, he put his relationship with Horowitz on the line, wrote, “I am willing to be a friend if You’ll accept the words I promise that You have (and I wish I could say unintentionally) too persecuted people well.” Horowitz soon issued a full retraction and sorry.
On occasion, when he was at the beginning of the last book tour, just before falling ill, I had a personal crisis.
